Dropped $90 on a used FMA: Brotherhood box set at a flea market and half the discs skip

The guy at the booth in Fort Worth swore it was "barely watched" but disc 3 freezes on every single fight scene. I saved maybe $60 compared to buying new and now I'm stuck ripping the good discs and hunting down replacements one by one. Has anyone had luck getting scratches buffed out at a shop, or am I better off just rebuying the season?
