Yeah that blurry line nora_park mentioned is too real. I mean, I once tried to redraw a Goku panel and it looked so bad nobody could even tell it was stolen.

Ever run into someone who obviously copied a scene but said it was just a tribute? My friend's "original" Attack on Titan fanart was just a traced still from the anime, and he got mad when called out.

Funny how that blurry line between tribute and theft shows up everywhere. You see it with people reposting recipes word for word or copying social media bios. Seems like some folks just really hate admitting where their ideas came from.
