That comment about pacing in Attack on Titan actually made me rethink my whole approach

I used to skip the slower episodes in shows because I just wanted action. But a guy in the forums pointed out that those quiet moments are what make the fights hit harder. He mentioned the episode where they're just sitting around the campfire before the big battle and how that built tension. I went back and rewatched a few episodes I had skipped and yeah, he was right. Did anyone else used to skip stuff and then realize you were missing half the show?

Why would you want to sit through a bunch of slow conversations just to get to a cool fight scene? I tried watching those quiet episodes and honestly they felt like filler, I just fast forwarded to the parts where stuff actually happens. Maybe I missed some emotional buildup but I got to see the big explosions and sword fights which is why I watch the show in the first place.

Funny how skipping the boring parts means you also skip the payoff.
