TIL I was skipping the best part of anime openings this whole time

Honestly, I used to skip every anime opening without thinking. Like, no hesitation, straight to the episode. Then last month I watched Vinland Saga season 2 with my buddy in Osaka, and he made me sit through the full opening for like the third episode. I was complaining and he just said 'you're missing the story, man'. I laughed it off, but then I actually paid attention and realized the opening changes visuals every arc to show character growth. Plus the music sets the mood way better than jumping straight into the action. Now I watch the first two or three openings of any show before I decide to skip, and I've caught so many subtle hints about plot twists. Does anyone else have a specific show where the opening spoiled or hinted something you only noticed later?

“you're missing the story, man” is real. Watching Jujutsu Kaisen, the opening straight up showed Gojo in prison before it happened. I thought it was just cool art. Then it hit me like three arcs later and I felt dumb. Now I never skip the first few, you can catch so much foreshadowing if you look close.
