Tried watching dubs as a joke, now I can't go back

I told my buddy I'd watch the first episode of a mecha show dubbed just to laugh at it, but the voice acting actually fit the characters better. Three seasons later I'm defending dubs in every thread. Has anyone else flipped sides on this after swearing subs forever?
