Vent: I watched 14 episodes of a show before realizing the whole thing is a sequel, wasted 5 hours
So I started this anime on a streaming app after seeing a clip somewhere, looked cool, big fights, weird powers, I was hooked. Watched 14 episodes over about 5 hours across two nights and kept feeling like I was missing stuff, characters showing up with zero intro, backstory mentions of events I never saw. Finally searched the name on a forum and found out it's season 3 of a series that started in 2011, and the app just labels it like a standalone title. Nobody in the comments of that clip bothered to mention it either. I went back and watched the first season and half the emotional beats I skipped past suddenly made sense. It's not the app's fault exactly but why is it so hard to find watch order info without digging through 6 year old reddit threads. Has this happened to anyone else, and is there a site you trust for watching order that isn't full of spoilers?
