Vent: three seasons of skipping opening songs and my watchlist got way shorter
For about two years I watched every opening and ending all the way through, and my backlog in 2023 was hovering around 60 shows. Last spring I started hitting skip after the first episode of each series, and by the end of summer I had cleared 18 titles I had been sitting on since 2021. Turns out I was losing maybe 6 to 8 minutes per episode to songs I had already heard, which over a 24 episode run is basically a full season of watch time. Now I only sit through an opening if I really like the song or it changes partway through the run. Does skipping openings bug anyone else, or is it just a me thing?
