Watched the new season of that big shonen everyone's hyping and it was the most boring week of my life.

I'm talking about the one with the blue-haired kid and the swords. I forced myself through three episodes on Tuesday, then just gave up. The animation is slick, sure, but the story feels like it's on a treadmill. Every fight is the same 'I must get stronger' loop. My friend in Chicago texted me 'just wait for episode 5!' but why should I? What's a show you dropped recently that everyone else seems to love?

Stopped watching that cooking competition show everyone raves about. Found myself checking my phone during every challenge, just didn't care who won. Sometimes a show just doesn't click, no matter how good the buzz is.

The hype can be a trap. If you're bored from the start, it won't get better. Just not your show.
