Went to a Crunchyroll panel at a convention last weekend and noticed something weird
I was at Anime Expo in LA on Saturday and sat in on a Crunchyroll industry panel where they talked about new simulcasts. Nobody in the audience asked about the shows themselves, every single question was about the streaming quality and buffering issues. Is this just what anime discussions have turned into, more tech support than actual show talk?

Three people at my local con spent ten minutes complaining about bitrate instead of asking about the dub cast.

Hit mute or just walk away mid-sentence, that type of venting never goes anywhere productive. Did you at least wait to see if the dub cast was announced later?

Oh man, I've been to panels like that. Best thing I've found is to just stand up and ask your question loud and clear right when they open the floor. If you wait, the tech complainers will swoop in first. I always have my question prepped and written down on my phone notes so I don't freeze up. Also helps to sit near the mic or aisle so you can get to it fast.
