Blew a dryer belt swap on a 12 year old Kenmore, now the drum squeals
Had a simple belt job on a Kenmore dryer about 6 months ago and it turned into a mess. I got the belt on fine but rushed the drum rollers and now it squeals like crazy on every spin cycle. Customer called back twice, and I ate the second trip plus a $45 roller kit out of my own pocket. I think I pinched the felt seal when I slid the drum back in, but I'm not 100 percent on that. Anyone got a trick for seating the drum without nicking that seal? Also, do you all replace rollers on every belt job just to be safe, or only when they feel rough?
