Can we talk about how I quit using my meter for continuity checks and just wiggle the wire now
Used to pull out the multimeter on every no-heat call, beep out every element and switch, took 20 minutes easy. Then last month a guy with 30 years in the trade watched me do it on a dryer in Akron and said "you're testing the meter, not the machine." Now I yank the harness, wiggle each connector, and look for the burnt spade. Found my last 4 bad connections in under a minute each. The meter sits in the bag. Anyone else ditch the test leads on basic stuff or am I getting lazy?
