Charged a couple $85 for a part I diagnosed wrong in Toledo

Honestly, I was so sure it was the main board on their fridge, but after swapping it and seeing no change, I dug deeper and found a corroded wire harness hidden behind the compressor. Tbh, I refunded the labor and only charged for the actual fix, and now I always trace every wire before ordering anything. Has anyone else eaten a cost like that to keep a customer happy?
