Got schooled on leveling feet by an old-timer in Detroit
Last month I was wrestling with a fridge that kept walking across the floor. I had shims jammed under the front corners and it still wobbled. An old repair guy at the supply house told me to stop being lazy and actually adjust the leveling feet from the back first. I went back, did it his way with a wrench and a bubble level, and the thing sat solid in 10 minutes. Anyone else skip the back feet and regret it?

And honestly, I made the same mistake when I first started fixing up my old house. I always just shoved a shim under the front and called it good. But then I had a washing machine that shook so bad it walked out of the laundry room once. Finally broke down and bought a decent level and took the time to spin all four feet. It was a game changer for sure. Did you have to fight with any stubborn feet that were rusted or seized up?

Oh man, rusted feet are the absolute worst. I've had to hit them with PB Blaster and a pair of channel locks more times than I can count, just soaked em and let em sit for a day before I even tried turning em again.

PB Blaster is actually a penetrating oil, not a rust remover.
