Lost a compressor on a Friday afternoon and learned to always check the run capacitor first

I read a service bulletin from Copeland a few months back that said something like 60% of all single phase compressor failures start with a bad run cap. That number stuck with me. You figure a $15 part takes down a whole system and nobody checks it first because we all think it's something more complicated. I've started keeping a handful of the common sizes in my truck just for Friday afternoon saves like this.
