Showerthought: my old way of cleaning dryer vents versus the new one

For years, I used a basic shop vac and a set of those flimsy plastic rods to clean out dryer vents. It was a dusty, frustrating job that never felt complete. Last month, after a call for a clogged vent in a three-story house, I rented a professional rotary brush system with a 25-foot flexible shaft. The difference was unreal. Instead of just sucking out the loose lint, this thing scraped the walls of the duct clean. I pulled out what looked like a whole new blanket's worth of packed-in lint the old method would have missed. The homeowner said his dryer hadn't dried that fast since he moved in. Has anyone else made a switch to a specific tool that turned a half-job into a sure thing?

My buddy's old leaf blower trick for gutters was pathetic until he got a proper telescoping wand.

Wait, so you're telling me I've been doing it the hard way this whole time? I mean, I guess that tracks, @rubyshah.

Yeah, that "hard way" feeling hits home, @coleman.gray. I finally caved and got the right extension pole too, total game changer.
