That time a landlord yelled at me for fixing his washing machine 'too fast'

I walked into a walk-up in Astoria last month, had the drain pump swapped in 12 minutes, and the guy actually got mad because he thought I was gonna be there for at least an hour, has anyone else had customers get suspicious of a quick fix?

Is 12 minutes even enough time to actually fix a washer?

12 minutes even enough time" - yeah, I get why you'd ask that, but you're kind of mixing up two different things. The actual time to fix a washer depends on what's wrong. A simple gasket swap or a clogged filter can take 15 minutes if you know what you're doing. The real problem is these appliance repair companies sending someone who barely looks at the machine. They spend 5 minutes poking around, declare it fixed, then leave. That's not fixing anything, that's just clocking a visit. If they actually diagnosed the issue first, 12 minutes might be enough for something small. But if you're just getting a quick glance and a "yep, it's good" - yeah, that's a scam.
