Tried putting a Samsung board in a 20 year old Whirlpool dryer just to see if it would work
Honestly I was bored on a slow Thursday and had both parts sitting on my bench. The damn thing actually spun up for about 12 seconds before letting the magic smoke out, reminded me why I stick to the older mechanical timers. Has anyone else ever tried a cross-brand Frankenstein fix just for kicks?

Nah, always figured old machines could handle anything. Now I get why they don't.

Handle anything"? My 90s truck still runs. Old machines just need someone who knows them.

Bet my truck would outlast any of these new "smart" cars that throw a fit if you sneeze on a sensor. Your mileage may literally vary on that one though.
