Update: started keeping a log of every fridge I fix, and the amps tell a story I did not expect
Three years ago I worked with an old tech named Dale in Spokane who wrote compressor amp draw in a pocket notebook on every call. I laughed at him for it. Last month I finally started my own notebook after guessing wrong on a Whirlpool that was pulling high amps from a weak start relay. Now I flip back through 40 entries and the pattern jumps out, most repeat calls happen on units running 10 percent over spec. Anyone else track numbers by hand like this, or am I just catching up to Dale?
