Warning: Chasing a phantom fridge leak reminded me of the value of patience over pressure

I spent half a day convinced a sealed system issue was causing the drip, only to find a clogged condensate drain hidden behind the panel. Back when units were simpler, you'd spot that in minutes, but now everything's so packed with features it masks the basics. I mean, slowing down and tracing the water path manually, like my first boss showed me, saved a ton of unnecessary labor. Maybe it's just me, but that deliberate approach feels like a lost art in the rush for quick fixes.

Exactly! I once tore apart a dishwasher only to find a lemon seed in the drain hose.

Everything's so packed with features it masks the basics" is where I disagree. Those features, like error codes and access panels, often point you right to the clog without having to trace the whole system manually. Sometimes the new way is just a different kind of deliberate.

It's a trade-off: quicker fixes versus deeper system understanding (sadly).
