Field school mishap with a mislabeled trench in Arizona

Out near Sedona last summer, our crew dug a whole trench based on a map that had the grid numbers flipped, so we spent 4 days excavating the wrong plot. The supervisor finally walked over and said those pottery sherds are from last month's campfire, not a Hohokam site. Has anyone else had a survey mix-up like that totally set back their season?
