Found 4 arrowheads in one creek bend in central Texas and the landowner told me why
I was walking a creek on a friend's ranch near Lampasas, Texas two weeks ago and kept seeing flakes of chert in one gravel bar. I picked up 4 broken arrowheads in about 30 feet of bank, which is way more than I find most days. The landowner said his granddad always plowed that same bend because the spring kept the soil soft, so people camped there for thousands of years. What gets me is how the tools were just sitting in the open, no dig needed. Anyone else have spots where the erosion does the work for you?
