I thought our local creek was just a creek, but archaeology says otherwise.
I used to believe there was nothing historically important around here. Then a team found stone tools by the bank, dating back thousands of years. It's a small win, but it shows how much we can still learn.

Makes you wonder what other "ordinary" spots hold hidden history. Bet there are stories in that creek bed beyond just the tools.

Totally agree about the stories in that creek bed, @nancycooper. My own digging skills are so bad I'd probably find a rusted can from 1998 and get way too excited. I'd be telling everyone I discovered a lost soda civilization instead of actual history.
