My trip to see the Viking ship find in Norway

I was traveling in Norway last fall and got to visit the site where they just pulled up a Viking ship from a farm field. The archaeologists let us watch them brush dirt off some wooden planks, which was pretty cool. They think it's from around 800 AD, based on the craft style. Has anyone else seen an excavation up close like this?

800 AD planks made me admit I was wrong about Viking ships.

Used to think they were all longboats till I saw those overlapping planks.

Ever notice how hard it is to let go of being right? You get that with the Viking ship thing, where the actual facts hit you. I'll argue a pointless movie detail for ten minutes before finally googling it. Or my buddy would not accept that unplugging the router fixes it half the time, he needed a whole tech article. Feels like losing even when you just learned something new.
