My trowel hit a 2,000 year old mosaic in Pompeii and I yelled for my professor
We were clearing a floor layer near Region V when I felt the trowel scrape something flat and smooth, and I froze because I knew it was not just another rock. Turns out it was a black and white geometric mosaic, and my professor made me stop digging for the rest of the day. Has anyone else had a moment where you almost damaged a find because you were moving too fast?
