The before and after at the Roman site in Bath caught me off guard

I went back to the Roman Baths in Bath last month after like 6 years. The big difference I noticed was how much more of the original lead piping they've exposed since my last visit. They used to have it tucked away behind a rope, but now there's a glass walkway right over it so you can see the channels. Apparently a 2019 flood damaged some of the modern stuff, so the dig team went deeper and found another section nobody knew about. Has anyone else noticed older sites changing a lot between visits?

The glass walkway tricked me good. I walked right onto it without looking down and nearly dropped my phone when I realized I was standing over two thousand year old pipes. My mate laughed and said I looked like a startled cat. That flood back in 2019 must have done a number on things though, kinda wild that it ended up uncovering hidden sections instead of wrecking them. I still tripped over my own feet twice before I even got to the main bath.

Honestly, that's how life works sometimes, things get messed up just to show you something cool.
