Tried that new ground-penetrating radar at a dig site in Ohio

We ran it over a known burial mound and it showed nothing but empty soil. Turns out the clay content was too high for the signal to punch through. Has anyone else had radar fail hard on specific soil types?

Call it a skill issue with the equipment or operator, not the clay.

Clay can absolutely kill a radar signal.
