Bought a premium domain name on a whim for $500 and now I just pay $10 a year to sit on it
A year ago I thought I needed XYZcoaching.com for my side hustle idea that never took off and now I'm just hoping someone offers me $50 for it for the renewal fee back - anyone else holding onto a digital white elephant?

But have you actually tried listing it anywhere, or is it just sitting in your account gathering dust? I feel like a lot of people sit on domains because they're afraid of getting lowball offers, but even $50 would be better than nothing, right?

Did your friend actually get an offer on a domain they almost forgot about? I remember my buddy had "greenbeans.net" sitting around for like 2 years, he bought it for $10 and forgot about it. One day some random dude from a gardening forum DMed him offering $150 out of nowhere, he almost deleted the email thinking it was spam. Now he checks his parked domains every few months after that happened.
