Found out I was watering my tomatoes at the worst possible time for two summers
My next door neighbor in Tucson stopped me over the fence last Tuesday and asked why my plants always looked wilted by 5pm. Turned out I was watering at noon, so most of it was gone before the roots got anything. She told me to wait until the evening and I did it for a week, and the difference showed up fast. Now I'm wondering what else I've been doing backwards for years without noticing. What's a dumb habit you caught late because somebody else pointed it out?
