I figured dumpster diving was gross until my neighbor in Tampa showed me his $200 grocery haul
I always assumed people who dug through trash were either desperate or a little off, but my neighbor Ray has been doing it behind the Publix on Kennedy for 3 months now. He pulled out sealed bread, dented cans, and a whole case of yogurt that was only one day past its date, and he says he saves about $200 a month on groceries. Is this something more people actually do, or is Ray just a special kind of brave?
My buddy does this at the Aldi near his place and got a full cart of stuff last month, said most of it was still good. He's not broke either, just hates wasting food and money. It's way more common than people think, grocery stores toss so much stuff that's still fine.
