I finally asked a question at the town hall meeting in my neighborhood

I went to the monthly town hall in my area last night. It was at the community center on Maple Street. The mayor was taking questions from anyone who wanted to speak. I raised my hand and asked about the plan for fixing the potholes on Oak Avenue, because my car got a flat tire there just two weeks ago. The mayor gave a long answer about budget cycles and contractor schedules. Honestly, I got a bit lost in all the details. It made me think, how do you even ask a good question in a setting like that to get a clear answer? Has anyone else had to ask something at a public meeting and figured out a good way to do it?

Classic politician move. Next time maybe ask if they need a ride over the potholes to understand.

Ugh, my car's alignment is shot from the potholes on Maple Street.
