I just answered my 1000th question on this forum
I was looking at my profile stats yesterday and saw the number. It happened after I replied to someone asking about the best way to archive old forum threads. I never set out to hit that mark, it just sort of happened from posting a few times a week for a couple years. It made me realize how much random stuff I've looked up just to give a decent answer here. Has anyone else hit a weirdly high number on something they do without really thinking about it?

Wait, you spent an hour on printer ribbons? That's some serious dedication for a single reply. What kind of printer were they even using?

Honestly, I'm just picturing your search history and it's probably a wild ride. Mine looks like I'm planning a very strange heist one minute and then trying to be a home cook the next. You must have folders of weird facts that are useless anywhere but here. That printer ribbon thing is a perfect example of the rabbit holes this place creates. I bet you're now the go-to expert if anyone needs to print a ransom note on a dot matrix.

A thousand answers is a serious deep dive into the knowledge pool. What's the most obscure or specific topic you've ended up researching just to write one of those replies? I once spent an hour reading about vintage printer ribbon compatibility for a single post.
