Just realized I was starting my resin pours all wrong for months

I kept getting these cloudy spots and uneven edges on my coasters no matter what I did. Turns out I was mixing my ArtResin for way too long and introducing tons of micro bubbles. After reading a tip from a guy on Reddit to mix slow for exactly 3 minutes and let it sit for 5 before pouring, my last batch came out crystal clear. Has anyone else found that the brand of epoxy makes a bigger difference than you'd think?

Oh for sure, I treated my resin like a milkshake and beat the heck out of it for like 10 minutes straight. My first few coasters looked like I'd poured them over a gravel driveway. At this point I'm surprised my lungs haven't just given up on me altogether.

Hold up, is it really that deep? I use whatever random epoxy I grab at the craft store and just stir it for like a minute and it always comes out fine lol.

That part about mixing too long hit close to home. I used to think the longer you mixed, the better blended it would be. Turns out I was just whipping a ton of air into my resin like I was making meringue. Switched to that slow 3 minute fold method and let it rest for 5. My last pour of TotalBoat came out like glass. Never thought brand would matter either until I tried that cheaper stuff from Amazon. The bubbles just would not pop no matter what.
