My silent library study hack got me banned for 2 weeks
I figured out that whispering my notes into my voice memo app actually helped me remember stuff better, but the librarian caught me narrating my whole biology chapter to my phone and now she thinks I'm either a podcaster or a lunatic, has anyone else gotten in trouble for a weirdly effective study trick?
I once tried the whisper thing during finals and got so into it that I started doing dramatic pauses and hand gestures like I was giving a TED talk to my backpack. The librarian didn't ban me, but she did the slow walk-by about four times and kept staring at me over her glasses. What really got me was when I played the recording back later and realized half of it was just me breathing heavily and saying "okay so basically" over and over for twenty minutes. Still passed the test though, so honestly your method works and the librarian just doesn't get the science of it. Maybe next time hide in one of those study rooms with the door shut, or write it out by hand instead of talking to your phone like it owes you money. Two weeks seems harsh for something that clearly helps you learn, but rules are rules I guess.
