Pro tip: I picked a forum software upgrade over a total rebuild...

Had to choose between a full site migration to a new platform or just updating our old vBulletin install. Went with the update, which took about 6 hours of downtime, but kept all our old threads from 2008. Anyone else faced this kind of 'refresh or replace' decision for a community?
