That one random guy at the bus stop changed how I answer questions
I was waiting for the 42 bus in Portland last Tuesday and this older man asked me if I knew when it came. I gave him the exact schedule I had on my phone, real precise with the minutes. He just laughed and said 'son, I asked because I wanted to know if you'd help, not because I needed the time.' That stuck with me all week. Now I try to listen for what people are really asking before I dump facts on them. Has anyone else had a stranger say something that rewired how you talk to people?

Honestly sounds like the guy was just trying to make conversation, not drop some deep life lesson. People read way too much into random bus stop chats sometimes lol.
