The "good enough" answer ruins more threads than the wrong one

I keep seeing people in this community pat each other on the back for vague replies like "it depends" or "try both," but that dodged the real question. Last week someone asked for a straight yes or no on a car repair cost, and the top answer was 4 paragraphs of maybe. Why are we rewarding fuzzy answers instead of pushing for the messy, specific, sometimes wrong take?

Exactly bro. I asked a simple question about which bike tire holds air better and got a 10 comment thread of people saying "well it depends on your riding style" like just pick one and tell me why. Same thing happened in a PC build thread, everyone was terrified to just say "go with the 4070" so the whole thread was useless guessing. Give me your best answer and if you're wrong, at least own it, that's way more useful than some safe nonsense.

Hold on, wait. Someone actually got a 10 comment thread about bike tires and nobody said "just get the Continental GP5000 and move on"? That blows my mind, @lopez.quinn. That tire holds air like a champ for me, but I get it, some days it leaks a bit more than others. Yeah, I'll own that, it's not perfect, but it's way better than the endless "well actually" nonsense you got. People just hate being wrong more than they hate being useless.
