Thought a $15 tire inflator from a bin at the hardware store in Spokane was junk, it's outlasted my $60 one
I grabbed a cheap 12v inflator from a clearance bin last March just to top off a slow leak on my truck, figuring it would die in a week. It's filled tires on three different cars since then and still kicks on without the motor sounding like it's dying. What cheap thing did you buy expecting to hate that ended up being the real deal?
Ever bought something cheap just so you could feel smug when it broke, only to have it outlive the fancy one? Because that's basically me with a $10 heat gun from Harbor Freight. I told my wife it was "temporary" and I'd get a real one later, and now it's been four years of me borrowing it back from her after she claimed it for craft stuff. Meanwhile the name brand one I bought to replace it sits in the garage dead. At this point I'm pretty sure the clearance bin is where tools go to become immortal.
