Two months of walking instead of driving to the corner store
I live in a small town in Ohio where everything is a 5 minute drive, but I made myself walk to the gas station for milk and bread every other day starting in June. After 60 days, I noticed my pants fit looser and my blood pressure check at the pharmacy dropped from 135 to 118. Has anyone else seen real health changes from just swapping short car trips for walking?

My mom actually had a similar thing happen but with a different twist. She started parking at the far end of the Walmart lot every time she went, and after 3 months her doctor told her her resting heart rate dropped by like 10 beats. I get what you're saying but I think walking to the corner store is kind of a special case because you're doing it multiple times a week, not just once. Most people who swap driving for walking still end up walking way less than they think they will cause they forget or its raining or whatever. The blood pressure drop is legit though, 118 is a solid number for sure.

That's low-key impressive honestly. Maybe it's just me but those small swaps add up way faster than people realize.
