Update: I finally deleted my 3-year-old food tracking app after a Wednesday that wouldn't end
I always defended that app. Logging every meal for 900 days felt like proof I was in control, and I would argue with anyone who called it a chore. Then last Wednesday I burned a batch of rice, spilled coffee on my shirt, and got a flat tire on the way to work, all before 9am. When I opened the app at lunch and saw a red warning because I was 40 calories over, something in me just snapped. I deleted it right there at my desk in Columbus, and the weird part is I felt lighter, not lost. So now I'm curious, has anyone else quit a habit that was supposed to help and felt better without it?
