Update: that "no stupid questions" rule in my office chat cost us a $900 mistake in Austin
Our team lead in Austin told everyone last month to just ask in the big group chat instead of DMing, then shut down the one thread where the new hire tried to double check a client's billing address. Turns out half of us were sitting on the same confusion for 3 weeks and now I can't stop wondering what else got buried under "just ask anyone." How do you get people to actually pipe up when a rule like that backfires?
