Got told my nebula shots were too blurry and it fixed my whole process

Last month someone on here commented that my Orion Nebula photo looked soft and I got defensive at first. But I actually checked my focus settings and realized I was using the wrong micro-focus adjustment for my telescope. After watching a 10 minute YouTube tutorial I refocused the whole rig and my next shot came out crystal clear. Has anyone else had one piece of simple feedback totally change how they take photos?

The micro focus thing got me too but honestly checking collimation did more for my shots than anything else. One little tweak to the mirror alignment and everything snapped into focus way better than before.

Yeah the collimation thing is wild. I spent like a year wondering why my stars looked like fuzzy little blobs and turns out I just had to turn a tiny screw like an eighth of a millimeter. My telescope was basically drunk. One time I tried to collimate by just tapping the mirror tube and hoping it would magically land in place. It didn't. But after actually doing it right I finally got a photo of the moon that didn't look like a blurry potato.
