My mount decided to stop tracking during the Leonids
I set up my rig in the backyard two Saturdays ago to catch the Leonid meteor shower. About 40 minutes in, my star tracker just quit on me, and every shot after that had star trails. I checked the battery first, then the cable, and finally found the real problem: a tiny set screw on the RA axis had worked itself loose. A 2.5mm hex key and five minutes later it was running again, but I lost most of the peak. Has anyone else had a set screw back out on them mid-session, and did you use thread locker or just check it more often?
