I was pulling dents with a slide hammer and drilling holes in a customer's Civic like an idiot until I caved and bought the $180 stud welder kit from my local supplier in Mesa. The first pull on that quarter panel came out so clean I didn't need filler, but I'd been telling myself for two weeks the cheap way was fine. Anyone else ever buy a tool out of frustration and wish they'd done it three jobs ago?
