Old shop fan vs the new drum unit, night and day difference
We run a small 3 bay shop outside Cleveland and always used those cheap box fans to dry primer between coats. Last week my compressor died and while waiting on parts I borrowed a buddy's 20 inch drum fan from his commercial garage. It dried a fender in 6 minutes that normally takes 25 with the box fan. Mind you the drum fan is loud and takes up floor space, but the results are worth it. Has anyone else switched to a high velocity fan for booth work or is there a quieter option that still moves that much air?
