Showerthought: The dent in my neighbor's fender looked way worse before he told me he'd been working on it for two weeks.
He said he used a heat gun and a slide hammer from Harbor Freight, and now I'm wondering if that's a normal amount of time for a job like that or if I should have offered to help.

Seriously, two weeks? That's wild. A heat gun and a slide hammer are pretty basic tools for a dent pull. Unless he's trying to fix a crater from a meteor strike, that timeline seems way off. Maybe he's only working on it like five minutes a day or something. I'd just leave him to it, sounds like he's got his own process going on.
