Swore off plastic filler on door skins until a 2011 Civic changed my mind
For 8 years I refused to touch plastic filler on any door skin and always pulled or replaced the panel instead. Last month a customer brought in a 2011 Civic with a shallow crease near the handle and a $600 insurance cap, so I skimmed it with a thin coat of filler and it came out cleaner than a pull would have. How do you all decide when filler is fine versus when the panel has to come off?
