That paint booth at Mavis Collision in Tampa nearly ruined my whole week
I was spraying a metallic silver on a '22 Civic at Mavis Collision in Tampa last Tuesday and their booth pressure was way off. The air was pulling dust right from the floor into the clear before I could even lay down the second coat. Has anyone else had issues with booth balance messing up a metal flake job like that?

Man, I gotta push back on this a little. I mean, dust in a booth happens sometimes, yeah it's annoying but are we really acting like it "ruined your whole week"? A couple nibs in the clear on a silver metallic on a Civic isn't exactly a show car. You can wet sand those out in ten minutes and move on. I've had way worse, like bugs landing in the base coat on a black job or a drippy run on a door edge. That's a real headache. Seems like you're making a small hiccup sound way bigger than it is.

A bug in base on a black car? Yeah that's a real bad day. Dust nibs are just Tuesday.
