TIL a heat gun and a can of compressed air can pop a dent in a plastic bumper when you're out of proper tools.

I was stuck on a 2008 Civic's bumper with no dent puller, so I heated the area for about 30 seconds and blasted it with the compressed air upside down to freeze it, and it actually snapped back into shape.

Careful with the compressed air upside down trick, that can spray out liquid coolant and damage the paint. A hair dryer on high heat usually works just as well for plastic.

Oh man, she's totally right. I learned that the hard way cleaning a keyboard. That liquid comes out super cold and can actually crack some plastics, not just mess up paint. A hair dryer is way safer because you control the heat. Just keep it moving so you don't melt anything. Works like a charm every time.
