Worst week of sanding I've had in 10 years, what's your nightmare job story?

Last month I had a 2018 F-150 that came in after a deer hit, front fender and door. Simple enough job, but the customer had already tried to fix it themselves with some rattle can and body filler. I spent three days straight just grinding that mess down, and the filler kept chipping off in chunks because they never cleaned the surface right. The kicker was when I finally got it straight, the paint match came out a shade off because their cheap primer had soaked into the metal. I had to strip it all the way back to bare steel and start over. Ended up billing 22 hours on what should have been a 10 hour repair, and the customer complained about the price. Has anyone else dealt with a DIY repair that made your job twice as hard? I'm thinking about adding a clause in my estimate forms about surcharging for paint prep on top of bad filler.
