Customer argued with me for 20 minutes that his oil filter was 'self-cleaning'

Guy in a 2012 Civic swore the filter had a built-in reset button, and when I popped the hood and showed him the crusty old cartridge, he said, 'Well my cousin's Tesla does it different,' before paying $67 for the change I already did, has anyone else had a customer invent a feature that plain doesn't exist?
